Bob released The New York Times best selling motivation book The Life You Want: Get Motivated, Lose Weight, and Be Happy in December 2010. It is the newest title in a string of best sellers authored by Bob, including 2010's The Best Life Guide to Managing Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes, and The Best Life Diet, which was a mainstay on The New York Times best-seller list for 31 weeks, and was named the #1 diet book by Consumer Reports.

Bob is also the author of Make The Connection: Ten Steps to a Better Body and a Better Life, which was co-written with Oprah Winfrey, Get With the Program! Getting Real About Your Weight, Health, and Emotional Well-Being and Total Body Makeover: An Accelerated Program of Exercise and Nutrition for Maximum Results in Minimum Time.

Bob's website TheBestLife.com launched to become the fastest selling online program in the country based on subscription sales. The site offers various tools and resources including meal plans, shopping lists, recipes, videos, articles, news and tips from various health and fitness experts, and an exceptionally active member community.


On Store Shelves

Bob developed The Best Life Seal of Approval program so consumers could more easily identify products that measure up to the rigorous Best Life Diet taste and nutrition standards. In response to the popularity of the program, Bob launched his own line of Bestlife foods, beginning with a buttery spray, spreads and baking sticks, which are available at stores nationwide. And he recently added a line of supplements.

Bob has worked with Oprah Winfrey for more than 18 years and is perhaps best known as her personal fitness guru. He has made dozens of appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and is a contributor to O, the Oprah Magazine. He also writes health, nutrition and fitness articles for Oprah.com and his own website, TheBestLife.com.

Bob's Credentials

Bob is an exercise physiologist and certified personal trainer specializing in fitness, metabolism and weight loss. He holds a master's degree from the University of Arizona and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. For the past 27 years, he has worked with clients and consulted on the design and management of fitness, spa and sports medicine programs. Through his books, website, foods and fitness products, Bob has helped millions lose weight and live their own personal best life.
